The mission of Planting Stick Project is to sow seeds of good cause for the benefit of future generations through supporting the activities of Indigenous Wisdom Holders.
The ancient wisdom and knowledge indigenous to this hemisphere is an endangered resource. This spiritual knowledge is relevant today and holds keys to our common survival.
Since 1998 we have helped many Spiritual Elders in every way we could and today, as we continue that, we have also turned our focus to young people, especially those who are interested in growing food crops and saving seeds.
Our aim is to help the traditional knowledge and Wisdom of the Elders move forward in time into action for the generations to come. Traditional knowledge is gained through hearing, through activity, through hearts and minds meeting. Meditation and prayer, sacred singing and dancing, engaging in right relationship, all aid in strengthening the circle of life.
We gather young people to be with our Elders at outdoor gatherings we call Seed Camp.
We ask our Elders, “Considering all that you know and have experienced, all that you hold, what would you leave for the people of the future? What would you say to those people of the future if they were sitting at your feet?”
Please contact us if you are interested in attending a Seed Camp.
We thank you for your generous donations!
Planting Stick Project is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization; your donations are appreciated and will be acknowledged.
